First in a series of articles on how to incorporate stronger AI-driven commerce solutions

Nearly every commerce team we talk to has a version of this very same catalog problem: The catalog is technically live, and products are listed. The channel feeds seem to be running smoothly. But somewhere in the gap between “technically live” and “performing well,” a lot of margin is quietly disappearing.

Just as most commerce teams experience this, they also usually have the same root cause: bad product data. Things like missing attributes, miscategorized SKUs, incomplete descriptions, and values that don’t meet channel requirements.

It’s a common problem, but fixing product data at scale is often relentless manual work. And the teams responsible for it have other things to do.

That’s the problem RithumIQ’s was built to solve.

Your product data is a revenue problem

Your instinct may be to treat catalog hygiene as an ops issue, or something that gets cleaned up in a quarterly data audit.

But every SKU with a missing product weight creates a shipping estimation problem. Every product in the wrong category reduces agentic discoverability. Every listing suppressed for missing attributes is a hurt product sale. Multiply those issues across hundreds of thousands of SKUs and dozens of channels, and what looks like a data maintenance task starts showing up in your P&L.

Solving this manually doesn’t scale. You can’t audit 400,000 SKUs in any reasonable timeframe, and even if you could, the channels are constantly changing their requirements. It’s an unwinnable race.

Two features from Rithum’s one AI-driven solution

RithumIQ, the AI engine at the heart of Rithum, addresses the unwinnable race issue through two features that work on different ends of the same problem.

Catalog Assist handles the content side. It uses AI to detect missing or invalid product attributes and generates suggestions to correct them, based on your existing product data and channel-specific rules, not generic recommendations. For a product with incomplete color values, an incorrect size designation, or a description that fails a channel’s character count threshold, Catalog Assist surfaces the issue and proposes a fix. Crucially, it keeps humans in the loop: every suggestion requires approval before it goes live, and teams can edit directly within the Rithum platform. The goal is to remove the part of their job that’s purely manual, so your team focus on the decisions that actually require judgment.

For retailers, Catalog Assist solves a specific version of this problem in the supplier onboarding flow. New supplier products often arrive with catalog gaps that stall activation. Catalog Assist generates suggestions to fill those gaps and speed up the path to live listings by compressing a process that normally takes days into something that can happen in hours.

Magic Mapper handles the categorization side. Getting products into the right category on each channel sounds like a solved problem. It isn’t. Different channels have different taxonomies, different hierarchy depths, and different naming conventions. A brand managing presence across 20 marketplaces is essentially doing 20 categorization jobs. And the volume of SKUs means the work scales with the catalog, not with the team.

Magic Mapper automatically categorizes products across multiple channels simultaneously, and at scale. Teams can review recommendations, filter results, and selectively approve changes in bulk before anything goes live. It replaces hours of manual categorization work with a review step that takes minutes, giving you and your teams the confidence that comes from knowing nothing was pushed live without human sign-off.

The power of RithumIQ

Both capabilities are part of RithumIQ, Rithum’s AI intelligence engine, which was built on one of the world’s richest and most comprehensive commerce datasets: more than $50B in GMV annually, 4B+ SKU transformations daily, and 500M+ listing updates every day.

That scale is what gives us the best basis to ensure your product data quality is clean and actionable for all your automations. Catalog Assist and Magic Mapper aren’t drawing on a generic product knowledge base. They’re drawing on what correct attribute formats actually look like for a given category and what categorization patterns work on which channels. These recommendations are informed by how ecommerce actually operates at scale.

Rithum IQ’s suggestions are grounded in data that your team doesn’t have access to on their own. Three out of four Rithum clients accept RithumIQ’s recommendations 99% of the time.

The bigger picture of product data

The emergence of AI-powered shopping, or agentic commerce, is raising the stakes on clean, accurate, complete product content in a new way.

Rithum and Retail Dive’s recent consumer research found that 58% of shoppers blame the brand when an AI assistant gives them wrong product information. Simply put, if your product data is incomplete or inaccurate, it doesn’t just hurt you in search terms. It hurts you every time a shopper asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, or any other agentic commerce tool to find them the best in your category. And it especially hurts you when AI answers give your shoppers a competitor’s product instead of yours, simply because their data is cleaner.

Catalog Assist and Magic Mapper are tools for today’s operational problems. They’re also the infrastructure layer for what comes next. An agentic shopping environment requires catalogs that are already in good shape, with accurate attributes, correct categories, complete content, and channel-compliant data across the board. The work to get there can get done faster with RithumIQ. It’s not AI as a feature announcement, but AI as the foundational layer behind your commerce initiatives.

This quarter, we’re expanding retail media and fulfillment options for brands, opening new channels around the world, and putting promotional planning and product discovery directly in retailers’ hands. Here’s our Q2 product updates for retailers and brands.

For retailers: own your promotions, find what sells

Retailer initiated promotions (Commerce Solutions), available now
Retailers can now build and run their own promotional campaigns instead of waiting for suppliers to get one started. Create a promotion like “Labor Day Sale” or “Back to School,” set the scope and timing, and invite suppliers to opt in with eligible SKUs.

This doesn’t replace supplier-initiated promotions. Suppliers can still run their own campaigns independently. But retailers now have the ability to coordinate multi-supplier efforts that align with seasonal and strategic goals.

  • Drive higher GMV during key sales periods through coordinated, multi-supplier promotions
  • Boost supplier engagement by enabling opt-in participation in retailer-led campaigns
  • Stay in control of promotional timing, categories, and participation rules

SupplyExplorer: Merchant Match (Commerce Solutions), available now
Adding new products to your catalog just got a lot faster. With SupplyExplorer retailers can discover and connect with the right suppliers faster, using data-driven recommendations grounded in real commerce data. SupplyExplorer helps retailers identify, evaluate, and connect with high-quality suppliers across Rithum’s network.

  • Define your growth criteria such as categories, brands, delivery regions, and performance requirements to guide supplier recommendations, while suppliers build and maintain Network Profiles that showcase their capabilities and assortment
  • Get curated matches with Rithum’s Network Intelligence and proprietary matching technology
  • Review detailed Network Profiles, assess supplier fit, and request introductions directly through the platform

Conversations (Commerce Solutions), available now
Conversations is a built-in messaging and task system that lets retailers communicate directly with suppliers inside the Rithum platform. Instead of emailing back and forth about inventory issues, contract details, or order updates, everything happens in one place, either in-app or via API.

You can send messages for quick questions (“Why is this item out of stock?”) or create tasks when something needs action (“Update this product description by Friday”). When a customer reaches out with a question about an order or product, you can pass it directly to the seller with Buyer ID, product ID, and order ID attached automatically. No copy-pasting, no lost context.

  • Communicate with suppliers directly in-platform or via API, with folders to organize by supplier
  • Route customer questions to sellers with full context attached automatically so nothing gets lost in translation

For brands: full-funnel retail media, lower shipping costs, and new global channels

Amazon DSP campaign management, available now
Amazon DSP now lives directly inside Rithum. Manage full-funnel campaigns in one place: view activity at the campaign and ad level, make bulk changes, manage bids and ad schedules, and apply performance automation rules from the Rithum UI.

Amazon DSP reporting also sits alongside your other Amazon programs and retail media channels, so you can see how upper-funnel spend connects to downstream performance without switching platforms.

  • Manage Amazon DSP campaigns end to end, from bid adjustments to performance automation, directly in Rithum
  • Unify performance reporting across Amazon Retail Media to guide your overall strategy

Roundel Media API, coming in Q2
Rithum is the first Roundel integration partner, bringing Target’s retail media network into the platform. Manage Roundel campaigns alongside every other retail media channel, with access to Rithum’s automations and forecasting tools.

  • Maximize Roundel results with Rithum Retail Media automations and forecasting tools
  • Manage all of your retail media campaigns across channels in one place

Ship with Walmart, available now
Ship with Walmart gives sellers a straightforward way to lower fulfillment costs and speed up shipping. Buy discounted USPS, FedEx, and UPS labels directly through Rithum instead of bouncing between carrier tools. Walmart’s rates can be more than 60% lower than standard market pricing.

The integration also supports API-driven label creation and bulk purchasing, which is especially useful during peak-season volume or holiday spikes.

  • Save on shipping with Walmart’s deeply discounted USPS, FedEx, and UPS rates
  • Manage all carrier labels in one place directly within Rithum
  • Speed up fulfillment with API-driven label creation and bulk purchasing

New channels and locales, coming Q2 FY2026

Rithum continues to expand the channels and locales available to sellers.

Walmart Marketplace Chile is now available as a new locale. With 84 million visits per year and 40% year-over-year growth, it opens a strong path for sellers looking to grow in Latin America.

Temu has expanded across multiple EU locations, including the UK, Germany, Spain, France, and Italy, along with global markets like Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Mexico. Sellers can now reach Temu’s 292 million monthly active users worldwide.

TikTok Shop is also expanding to the UK, adding access to 170 million monthly active users.

Join us on May 28 at 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 9am PT for the Rithum Pulse: Q2 Product Showcase. Ellie Williams, SVP of Product, Data & Design, along with the product marketing team, will walk through the features covered here, demo what’s new, and answer your questions live.

This quarter, we’re focused on execution and control in the workflows teams rely on every day. For retailers, the updates center on shipping operations, including faster bulk label processing and smarter carrier selection during label creation. For brands, we’re deepening last-mile partner integrations so listings, inventory updates, and order management can be handled in Rithum.

For retailers: shipping upgrades now

These updates bring shipping logic and label workflows into the platform so teams can move faster with more confidence.

Retailer Initiated Promotions (Commerce Solutions) — Available now

This feature gives retailers the ability to lead promotional campaigns from start to finish. Instead of relying on suppliers to initiate offers, retailers can now create their own promotions like “Labor Day Sale” or “Back to School” and invite suppliers to opt in with eligible SKUs.

  • Drive higher GMV during key sales periods through coordinated, multi-supplier promotions
  • Boost supplier engagement by enabling opt-in participation of promotional campaigns
  • Stay in control of promotional planning to align with seasonal and strategic goals

Shipping Optimization Control Center (Delivery Solutions) — Available now, only available in North America, powered by RithumIQ

Previously, updating shipping rules meant downloading spreadsheets, editing them offline, and re-uploading them. Now, retailers can make those changes directly in the platform, with clearer visibility into how settings affect delivery outcomes.

  • Save time by editing shipping rules directly in the platform instead of downloading spreadsheets
  • Reduce errors by previewing how your settings will impact delivery outcomes before they go live
  • Stay organized by managing all shipping logic, rules, defaults, and preferences, in one place

Shipping Label Workspace (Delivery Solutions) — Available now, only available in North America

Managing shipping labels, especially in bulk, can be a slow, manual process. The new Shipping Label Workspace is a centralized view that lets teams review and process labels for multiple shipments at once, with built-in confidence levels for shipment weights and dimensions.

  • See every shipment in one view and filter predicted weights, dimensions, and confidence levels before printing
  • Batch high-confidence shipments for label printing in seconds and easily spot ones that need review
  • Optimize shipments with real-time rate shopping for the optimal carrier and service level

Rate shop at label generation (Delivery Solutions) — Available now, only available in North America, powered by RithumIQ

This feature gives retailers the ability to make smarter, more cost-effective shipping decisions at the exact moment a label is created. Instead of relying on static rules or default carrier selections, the system compares real package sizes and delivery timelines so every label reflects the best available option.

Package Predictor auto-populates weight and dimension predictions to make bulk label printing easy, and warehouse operators can edit the number of shipments and input real weights and dimensions to account for any inaccuracies, missing data, or atypical circumstances. This allows us to calculate rates more accurately. And because it understands fulfillment timing, it can automatically upgrade late shipments or downgrade early ones, saving money while still meeting delivery expectations.

  • Reduces shipping costs by comparing rates across carriers and service levels at the time of label creation
  • Improves package-level accuracy by using real-time weights and dimensions to return the most precise options
  • Optimizes delivery by upgrading late shipments or downgrading early ones to meet promises and reduce costs

For brands: centralize DoorDash selling in Rithum

These updates make it easier to manage listings, inventory updates, and order workflows for last-mile partners without leaving Rithum.

DoorDash listings, inventory updates, and order management — Available now

Rithum is deepening our integration with some of the top last-mile delivery partners. This means you can manage more of your DoorDash workflow in Rithum, including listings and order management.

  • Create new listings directly from Rithum’s product catalog and keep product updates synced
  • Avoid manual order imports by managing order status and updates in Rithum
  • Maintain near real-time inventory for brick-and-mortar stores with hourly stock updates sent to DoorDash

Want a closer look at how these updates work in the platform? Join us for Rithum Pulse: Q1 Product Showcase on Feb 18, 2026 at 1 PM EST / 10 AM PST for a walkthrough of the new capabilities and live Q&A with the team.

For retailers: new visibility now, shipping upgrades next

New Retailer Home Page

Get a near real-time view across the full order lifecycle, from pick-pack-ship through delivery. Start at a network-level overview, then drill into supplier summaries and order-level details to triage what’s late, at risk, or stalled. It’s built for scale and mirrors how teams actually work: network view to supplier view to order.

Package Predictor

Powered by RithumIQ, Package Predictor automatically predicts package weights and dimensions based on real-world shipping behaviors. For retailers using Shipping Optimization, those predictions flow into the label printing process to reduce manual guessing and avoid costly mis-selections. Accuracy stats are forthcoming once broader rollout data is in.

This quarter, we’ve delivered tools that make every step of selling easier. From shipping and pricing to catalog management and media campaigns, these updates help retailers and brands move faster, reduce errors, and create stronger connections across the Rithum network.

We’ve grouped the updates by retailer and brand so you can get straight to the parts that apply to you.

For retailers: Smarter tools to reduce errors and drive efficiency

Shipping Address Validation

Shipping errors lead to delays and extra costs. Our new Address Validation feature validates the address and checks if it is residential or commercial before the order goes out. That means fewer delivery problems, fewer fees, and better customer experiences. Validated data is stored separately so original customer information stays intact.

Retailer Catalog Edit

No more waiting on suppliers to fix catalog issues. You can now update product attributes directly in the Rithum platform. Make quick corrections, resolve compliance errors, and override supplier values without extra steps.

Supplier-Led Promotions

Run more promotions with less work. Suppliers can submit promotions through a single dashboard, and you can set rules to protect margins. Approvals and tracking happen in one place, eliminating manual spreadsheets and emails.

Automated Price Change Requests

Respond to pricing updates faster. Set guardrails to automatically accept or reject supplier price changes, manage approvals in bulk, and view real-time status in a centralized portal.

Dynamic SLAs and Performance Dashboards

Track supplier performance in real time. Shared dashboards make it easy to monitor ship times, order accuracy, and inventory. Use scorecards and SLA settings to keep fulfillment on track and strengthen partnerships with suppliers.

Coming soon for retailers

  • Package Predictor: Fill missing package weights and dimensions to reduce shipping costs and delays
  • Flexible Commission Rates: Offer multiple commission options by category, brand, or supplier
  • Retailer Chatbot: Powered by AI, get instant answers to business, product and platform questions with visualizations and data to help you make more informed decisions.

For brands: Easier integrations and better control at scale

Done-For-You System Integrations

Connecting core business systems shouldn’t require custom development. We now offer custom integrations with ERPs, WMS, webstores, and 3PLs to sync your inventory, orders, and invoicing automatically to Rithum. Our team handles setup and maintenance so your IT team doesn’t have to.

Unified Template Experience

One template, all channels. The new standardized template makes it easier to list and reduce errors across marketplaces. It also lays the foundation for future category and attribute suggestions powered by AI.

Retail Media Enhancements

Better data leads to better decisions. Access more than 20 new reporting points, including Buy Box percentage and shipped COGS, and apply bid changes in bulk to save time. These updates help you adjust campaigns quickly and at scale.

Pricing Error Thresholds

Catch pricing mistakes before they go live to avoid costly errors and cancellations. Set price thresholds to prevent pricing mistakes before they go live, reduce the manual work of constantly checking listings, and prevent costly errors and cancellations.

Support for Walmart Simplified Shipping

Rithum now supports Walmart’s Simplified Shipping Settings. Set coverage regions, manage delivery speeds, and migrate existing SKUs in one click.

Coming soon for brands

  • New marketplace integrations: Best Buy US, Temu, Flip Shop, Brand Alley UK
  • Fulfillment by TikTok (US)
  • Normalized order settlement data for Walmart and eBay

These updates give retailers and brands the control, flexibility, and speed to grow smarter. Want to see how these features can help your business? Connect with your Rithum team today. Reading Time: 3 minutesNavigating the dynamic world of online retail requires strategic guidance. Rithum’s answer is Advisor. Advisor is not just a tool, but a companion that understands your business intricacies. Since launching in October 2023, brands and retailers that completed Advisor recommendations have generated over $50 million in GMV to date.

To improve operations and unlock new growth opportunities, Advisor serves as a personal marketplaces guide.

Your personal marketplaces guide to unlock growth

Advisor uses data-driven insights to analyze your specific business needs within the broader market. It suggests when to add features or how to expand your marketplace presence. It also helps you prioritize listing errors, explore new sales channels, and optimize inventory. Noteworthy successes include projected sales revenue after resolving errors on eBay and Amazon.

A best practice checklist to outperform your competition

Think of Advisor as part of your business strategy. It serves as a proactive reminder and best practices checklist. This tool doesn’t just highlight what actions you should take but motivates you to take action. Customers click on the recommendation and it guides you where you can address issues with your listings.

Key successes and real-time impact for listing errors on eBay, Amazon

Advisor is helping customers with pain-point-specific recommendations for their account. “It shows me exactly what I need to fix and makes it easy for me to do it,” according to one Rithum customer.

This customer clicked through a recommendation that highlighted where listing errors resulted in lost revenue on eBay. The Advisor recommendation assisted the customer by leading them to where they could identify which listings had errors. This helped the customer resolve the problems quickly.

According to another customer, “It’s not just a general recommendation. It was clear what type of errors we needed to fix, and we were able to do so in minutes.”

During the busy Cyber 5 holiday shopping rush, Advisor’s data-driven recommendations for listing errors proved to be invaluable, said another customer. Advisor suggested that this brand remove listing errors. That recommendation was valuable as the customer prepared its inventory in time to sell during the Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday shopping period.

Advisor goes beyond recommendations. It also shows estimated revenue potential, motiving you to take immediate action. Customers appreciate the clear connection between fixing errors and possible earnings.

“Advisor shows you the potential dollars associated with the errors. That pushes us to fix those errors. We are then able to see the sales we earn instead of sales we lost,” said another customer.

Which recommendations will generate new GMV?

Customers have used Advisor recommendations to improve eBay performance ratings, reprice products on marketplaces, as well as send search terms to Amazon and advertise products with Amazon Sponsored Products. A small sampling of popular recommendations:

  • Resolve errors on a marketplace (eBay, Amazon, etc.)
This recommendation identifies and suggests next steps to correct inaccuracies or problems with your product listings on specific marketplaces. This includes: fixing incorrect product descriptions, updating images, or addressing pricing errors.
  • Start selling on a marketplace
This suggests entering new marketplaces that align with your industry/catalog. This can expand your business by increasing your brand’s reach, diversifying your customer base, and potentially boosting sales by tapping into a new audience.
  • Lower your quantity buffer on a marketplace
Reduce the number of items you keep in reserve to prevent stockouts on a particular marketplace. This can increase the available inventory for sale, allowing for more sales.
  • Advertise your products with eBay promoted listings
This uses eBay’s Promoted Listing feature to increase visibility of your products. You can pay for promotion and listings appear more prominently in eBay’s search results, potentially leading to more traffic and sales.
  • Reprice your products with the marketplace’s algorithmic repricer
This recommendation, when enabled on supported marketplaces, automatically adjusts your product prices based on algorithms and market conditions. This can help you stay competitive, maximize profits, and react quickly to market changes.

Advisor’s capabilities continue to evolve and grow along with your business. Advisor serves as an awareness tool that gives you visibility to help improve profitability. Schedule a demo to learn more about how Advisor can help you.
