Merchants using both Shopping ads and <span style=\"color: #333333;\">Buy on Google<\/span> have seen an average increase in conversions at a lower cost, compared to running Shopping ads alone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q: How is <span style=\"color: #333333;\">Buy on Google<\/span> different than Amazon, eBay and Walmart?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A: <span style=\"color: #333333;\">Buy on Google<\/span> isn\u2019t trying to be Amazon, eBay or Walmart. Instead, our goal is to bring users, merchants, brands and manufacturers together throughout the shopping journey.\u00a0 We think that it\u2019s important to give users as many choices as possible, and that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re trying to accomplish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our belief is that shopping is different from buying, and we think we can do a lot to help consumers along the way, as they discover, browse and research all the options available. We believe Google is uniquely positioned to deliver on this goal because we have all the right ingredients: numerous properties with over a billion users, strength in machine learning and we understand user intent and context.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q: How has Google Shopping changed from Google Express? Can you tell me more about the new Google Shopping?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Anyone in the US who goes to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/shopping.google.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shopping.google.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will see a new homepage with browsable product categories, like Health &amp; Beauty or Electronics, as well as personalized shopping recommendations. And, as part of this new experience we\u2019re launching, users can now buy the things they love directly on Google \u2014 if you see the \u2018buy on Google\u2019 icon, that means we\u2019ll handle the checkout, payment and customer service process, including returns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q: The new Google Shopping sounds a lot like Google Express. What happened to Google Express?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.google\/products\/ads\/making-it-easier-shop-across-google\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We announced back in May<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that we\u2019re merging Google Express into the new Google Shopping experience. The same stores and products, free delivery options and easy checkout offered by Google Express will now be available wherever you see the option to buy on Google (indicated by the colorful cart icon).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q: Is the new Google Shopping really new?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Absolutely. Along with everything that users love about Express (buying on Google, easy returns, etc.), we\u2019re launching new features like Price Tracking and combining existing features like Local Results\u00a0 into one unified destination for users.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q: What was the old Google Shopping?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Previously, Google Shopping was mainly focused on connecting users directly to merchants\u2019 own websites. And that\u2019s not going away \u2014 we want to make sure we give everyone the best options available. Sometimes that means finding what you need on Google Shopping and purchasing it through another retailer\u2019s site. In other cases, merchants are offering their items for sale directly on Google Shopping \u2014 just look for the colorful cart icon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Q: What are the unique benefits of Google Shopping?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <span style=\"color: #333333;\">Buy on Google<\/span> allows merchants to surface their inventory on Search, Google Shopping and the Google Assistant.
